I’m pleased to announce that Building the Wingnut Wings Pfalz D.IIIa in 1/32 Scale celebrates its first birthday today. I’ve updated it to v1.2 with a few of the usual typographical and layout tweaks, and for the next 7 days it’s on sale for just 15 Australian dollars!
Building the Wingnut Wings Pfalz D.IIIa in 1/32 Scale
In this 362-page eBook, award-winning modeller Gary Boxall describes the building, painting, and finishing process of three Wingnut Wings Pfalz D.IIIa kits! The first build uses Aviattic lozenge decals to portray Eugen Siempelkamp’s Pfalz D.IIIa, and is a comprehensive guide to building the model. For the second build, Gary opts for a fully-painted finish to portray the markings of Hans-Georg von der Marwitz’s Pfalz D.IIIa. The third and last build sees Gary backdate the Wingnut Wings Pfalz D.IIIa kit to the earlier D.III, finished as Alois Heldmann’s aircraft.
The book also includes tutorials on rigging, and masking & painting over decals, along with our usual Appendices of aftermarket products and reference material.
And as with all our books, should any updates be required, anyone who purchased a prior version gets lifetime free access to all subsequent updated versions! All new purchasers will of course receive the updated version automatically.

Building the Kitty Hawk T-6/Harvard in 1/32 Scale
In this 209-page eBook, Kevin Futter and Chuck Sawyer tackle the Kitty Hawk Texan/Harvard kit in 1/32 scale. The first build is an out-of-box build using no aftermarket parts and as few modifications to the basic kit as possible. The model is also finished using the kit decals. This build is designed to illustrate what can be achieved using only the kit parts, and highlight any problems with the kit itself.
In the second build, Chuck Sawyer addresses many of the kit’s shortcomings, using a modicum of aftermarket parts and some scratch-building to enhance the accuracy, detail, and realism of the resulting model.
