I’m pleased to announce that our latest title, Building the Italeri CF-104 Starfighter in 1/32 Scale by Chuck Sawyer, is now available!
In this 326-page eBook, Chuck Sawyer builds the Italeri 1/32 F-104G Starfighter kit as a Canadian CF-104, combining it with a modest selection of aftermarket products to produce a stunning model. Along the way, Chuck treats us to tutorials on obtaining a flawless gloss finish, getting the best out of the Alclad range of metallic paints, and how to apply HGW’s tricky Wet Transfer decals.

During the weekend I had a quick view of Chuck’s e-book on my beloved One-O-Four.
This is by far the most extensive and detailed F-104 build I have ever seen and as I have several (T)F104’s of Italeri stashed away for future builds I know now what to check and correct. I was also amazed about the use of HGW rivets on a natural metal zipper and will certainly give it a try when I start my build of FX-87, the F-104 Capt. “Susse” Jacobs was killed in on 2 september 1968 when performing his “roll-touch-roll” for the French television series “les chevaliers du ciel” (the knights of the sky for those not familiar with the French language). It will be a tribute to a fine Belgian F-104 pilot. Chuck’s CF-104 would be a show stopper in my zipper room, in combination with my CF-104 painting and my Canadian CF-104 flight helmets …
Thanks for the kind words, Patrick! I’m glad you liked the book, and I wish you the best of luck with your own build!
