I’m pleased to announce that the next title in our Build Guide Series will be Building the ICM D.H.82A Tiger Moth in 1/32 Scale by Max Williams. Max is a terrific modeller and a Tiger Moth pilot, which is the perfect combination for this Build Guide. The book is in the early stages of development, but will contain all the usual features of our build guides, including in this case a bonus chapter comparing all three extant Tiger Moth kits in 1/32 scale (Matchbox/Revell, Silver Wings, and ICM).
Stay tuned for more information about this title, along with the imminent release of our latest title, Building the British Phantoms Volume Three.
Our second title, Building Mac’s Birddog in 1/32 Scale, published way back in September of 2017, turns 6 years old today. And to celebrate, for the next 7 days, we’ve reduced its price to just 10 Australian dollars!
Building Mac’s Birddog in 1/32 Scale
Written by master modeller Eric Galliers, this 177-page digital book shows you how he built his award-winning 1/32 scale model of Macaulay “Mac the FAC” Cottrell’s Cessna O-1 Birddog. Using the Roden 1/32 scale kit as a basis, Eric modifies it to represent Mac’s Birddog as he flew it in Vietnam in 1968.
Along with the upcoming launch of Building the British Phantoms Volume Three, we’ll also be announcing our next title soon, so subscribe to the blog for all the latest news and updates!
In this 473-page eBook, Jason Gares compiles a terrific series of articles he originally wrote for the now-defunct Sci-Fi and Fantasy Modeller magazine.
The book’s flagship feature kicks things off with a massive 80-plus page build article on Jason’s fantastic Star Wars vignette, These ARE the Droids You’re Looking For.
The seven articles that follow it cover a terrific range of sci-fi and fantasy modelling, including building and painting figures, making bases, building resin kits, and doing your own resin casting.

Along with Geoff’s terrific build, we’ve also included some colour profiles by Simon Hill, an overview of the kit itself, and a set of ordnance-related bonus photos.
And as with all our books, should more aftermarket products or reference titles be released, or we discover errors that need correcting, we will update the book accordingly. In this 167-page eBook, John Kim takes you through the building, painting, and finishing of the terrific 1/32 scale Ta 152H kit from Zoukei-Mura.
Zoukei-Mura released two variants of the kit: an initial Ta 152H-1 kit, and a follow-up Ta 152H-0 release with refined tooling. Wanting to build a Ta 152H-0, but not being able to find the correct kit, John decided to take the earlier Ta 152H-1 release and backdate it to H-0 configuration. John takes us through not only the simple panel line modifications required for the backdating process, but also his building, painting, and weathering processes to produce the terrific model you see in the book.
I’m pleased to announce that our next title, Scratchbuilding the Hawker Fury in 1/18 Scale by Peter Castle, has just reached the first draft stage! The final round of edits and proofing shouldn’t take long, so stay tuned for an official release announcement soon.
