Announcing “A Modeller’s Guide to the Ju 88 G-6 Night Fighter”!

I’m pleased to announce that our next title will be A Modeller’s Guide to the Ju 88 G-6 Night Fighter, by John McIllmurray (principal author) and David E. Brown. This book is set to be John’s magnum opus, and possibly the definitive work on the subject. Work has begun, but with 30GB of material to assemble into eBook format, the development process will not be quick! So I beg for your patience for what is likely to be our largest book yet.

The book is set to include a comprehensive conversion of the Revell 1/32 Ju 88 kit, scale plans, 39 colour profiles, stencil placement guides, loss records, period photos & drawings, historical data, airframe analysis, and more! Subscribe to the blog to stay abreast of developments:

I’m pleased to report that our next title, Building the Kitty Hawk T-6/Harvard in 1/32 Scale, has just reached the first draft stage, and now enters final proofing and revision. The book features two builds—the first, by yours truly is an out-of-box build using no aftermarket parts and as few modifications to the basic kit as possible.

In the second build, Chuck Sawyer addresses many of the kit’s shortcomings, using a modicum of aftermarket parts and some scratch-building to enhance the accuracy, detail, and realism of the resulting model.

The book should be ready for its official release soon, so stay tuned for more news and information as it comes to hand.

The fifth title in our Build Guide Series, Building the Fly Arado Ar 234 in 1/32 Scale by Kent Karlsen, had its fourth anniversary earlier this week, but I was away celebrating our 25th anniversary with my wife at the time! So to celebrate both these occasions (one clearly more momentous than the other), I’ve just updated this book to v2.2 with a few typographical and layout improvements, and temporarily reduced the price to just 12 Australian dollars.
